This weeks Music Monday

Sad news last week we lost another legend BB King, born Riley B. King (September 16, 1925 ), Pictured playing Lucille (his famous guitar).

In 1988, King reached a new generation of fans with the single “When Love Comes to Town”, with U2

Fun Wedding Summer Tracks

As we look forward to warm barmy nights this summer a couple new songs with that summer feel

Michael Calfan – Treasured Soul

Ariana Grande – One Last Time

This week we look back at a blog from 16th September 2014 The Flow of the Party

This weeks theme is “Classic Summer Songs”

Starting off with soca hit Hot Hot Hot by Arrow reaching number 59 on the UK charts in 1984 , it was later reissued in 1994 and reached 38.

Don’t Stop The Party by Pitbull reached number 7 on the UK charts in 2012 .

Summertime by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. reached number 8 on the UK charts.

Sun is Shining originally by Bob Marley vs. Funkstar Deluxe.

When thinking about classic summer songs it would be impossible to not include the Beach Boys, its almost just as impossible to single one song out by the band that championed the surfer sound of the 60’s. I Get Around written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love released as a single in 1964 with “Don’t Worry Baby” as its B-side reached number 7 in the UK charts

So until next weeks Music Monday lets dream of a rise in the temperature and warm summer nights.

This weeks forgotten gem
