Now I really don’t like writing about myself… But, I have some amazing news…

On Monday evening, 20th November, I was at Lillibrook Manor, Berkshire for the Wedding Industry Awards (TWIA) South Central Regional Awards Event.  I WON the Regional Wedding DJ of the Year!!! To say I was blown away seems like an understatement!

Last year, I was presented with the highly commended award. This year, becoming the Regional Winner was truly the icing on the cake of another year of providing amazing weddings around the region and beyond for all of you wonderful Brides and Bridegrooms.

Let me explain why I’m so chuffed about this…

The wedding Industry awards are all about integrity, credibility and reliability and have an unrivalled reputation within in the wedding industry. These are the only client-voted regional and national awards in the wedding industry. The judging panel is second to none in its breadth and depth of expertise and experience. This means that the results have real meaning and are useful for both the entrants and anyone organising a wedding and looking for great wedding suppliers both regionally and nationally.

The TWIA Logo is recognised as a mark of the highest quality, by wedding suppliers, Brides and Bridegrooms looking for the very best suppliers for their weddings.

So how do the awards work?

First I needed to be nominated, then only last year’s wedding couples get to vote. When voting they scored me on seven aspects of our service –

  • Range of options,
  • Quality of advice and guidance received,
  • Quality of customer service and communications,
  • Punctuality and appearance on the day,
  • Level of delivering what was booked,
  • Quality of web presence, and of course
  • Value for money.

All, I think you’d agree, very important considerations when booking a DJ.

Once the voting has finished, the judges use a combination of average voter scores in their judging process, to identify regional shortlists for each category. Then regional winner from each category then goes on to compete for the national awards.

I can’t thank my couples enough. Their votes and testimonials confirm that what we aspire to do is what we are achieving –  creating amazing engaging weddings, driven by emotion, leaving memories with our couples and their guests for years to come.

These awards help anyone organising a wedding to make a better-educated decision when looking for their suppliers.

Regional Winner – what next?

On the 17th January, I will attend the National Finals at the Café de Paris in London as a Regional Finalist in the hope of becoming the National Winner. To say I am excited to attend again is an understatement! So fingers crossed…
